Honda expects annual sales of 200,000 for the new hybrid. Total hybrid sales, including the Civic hybrid, a new hybrid version of its popular Fit subcompact and a planned sports car based on the CR-Z concept model, are expected to reach 500,000 vehicles a year after 2010, roughly one-tenth of total sales.

Sales of the Toyota Prius were off 56.8% by volume from March 2008, down to 8,924 units. Camry Hybrid posted 2,554 units, down 63.1% and representing 9.9% of all Camry sales. of the conventional Camry models were off 31% in March.

Many buyers look at the Camry Hybrid because they want midsize car space with hybrid efficiency - but the unique shape of the Prius gives it a more spacious interior than many expect, and the Prius can cost less than the Camry Hybrid.

Thanks for the useful info. It’s so interesting

  3. I prefer electric cars or water powered cars more than hybrid cars. Because electric cars run by battery and water powered cars sprint by H2O fuel. And both are eco friendly and not harm to ozone layer.

  4. I’m very interested in the new Honda Insight.
Because of a chronic back injury I’m not able to drive the Toyota Prius and the current Honda Civic Hybride because of their relative low seat height.
Can anyone inform me about the seat height of the new Honda Insight?
Important for me is the seat height from the floor of the car.
