Boxster and the 911

Bottom line, Porsche Cayman is an extraordinary illustration of a firm, solid-roofed bodyshell’s advantages.  The Cayman S has all of the positive Porsche attributes you might need, and not one of the snags.  It isn’t the fastest Porsche, not the fiercest, not the most breathtaking.  It’s a pooling of other Porsche parts, which implies that the Cayman isn’t dear to develop but it will generate giant profits.  The new auto, incidentally, takes its name not from a tax-haven archipelago, but from a type of crocodile.
